Prof. Dr. Erdem Tezel

Prof. Dr. Erdem Tezel, known as the doctor who brought endoscopic facial aesthetics to Turkey, was born on October 3, 1966. He graduated from Ankara Bahçelievler Trial High School and Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. He did his specialization in Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery between 1990-1996. In 1996, he became an Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist.

Academic

Tezel, who worked as a lecturer at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery between 1996-1998, became an Assistant Professor in 1998. Afterwards, he became Associate Professor in 2003 and Professor in 2009. While maintaining this position in the Department of Plastic Surgery, he served as the Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine between 2001-2005. Erdem Tezel shares his experiences and inventions with his colleagues in various congresses and meetings as an invited speaker. His techniques of nose and nasal tip aesthetics, eyelid and contour repair, lip repair, breast asymmetry and breast lift techniques, which he developed entirely by himself, have been published in the most respected international medical journals. He has received training abroad in facial aesthetics and eye contour aesthetics, which are his special interests.

He has worked with Frank A. Nesi, the world's foremost Oculoplastic Surgeon, at the Oculoplastic and Orbital Clinic at William Beaumont Hospital in Detroit, Frank A. Nesi, the world's leading Oculoplastic Surgeon, at the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto in Toronto and at the International Center for Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Aesthetic Surgery in Baltimore. Nesi, at the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto in Toronto and at the International Center for Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Aesthetic Surgery in Baltimore with Dr. Oscar M. Ramirez, the world's number one endoscopic facial aesthetic surgeon and the creator of full endoscopic facial aesthetics, completed his "Clinical Fellowship" -clinical training-.

During his plastic surgery residency at Marmara University, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Plastic Surgery at Tel Aviv University Sacler Faculty of Medicine.
