Nose Surgery - Rhinoplasty

NEW ERA IN RHINOPLASTY: Scarless Cartilage Fixation

The Traceless Cartilage Fixation method developed by Dr. Tezel is a new method in which many defects can be eliminated by shaping the tip of the nose with little or no touch to the bone.

In this method, the nasal tip cartilages are shaped completely from inside the nose, that is, from the outside, without making any incisions and without leaving any scars, and fixed to the main carrier cartilage in the middle (septum cartilage).

In this way, the height and angle of the nose can be adjusted millimetrically. This affects the naturalness of the result the most. This method is described as the invention that puts an end to the nose drop, which patients and many plastic surgeons complain about very often.

Thanks to the Scarless Cartilage Fixation method developed by Prof. Dr. Erdem Tezel and published in Annals of Plastic Surgery (American Journal of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), one of the most prestigious peer-reviewed journals in the world, there is no need for second surgeries. The method is also highly effective in correction surgeries and noses that have undergone one or more previous surgeries can be corrected with this method.

RHINOPLASTY (NOSE AESTHETICS) WITHOUT TOUCHING THE BONES IN SUITABLE PATIENTS

With this method (Scarless Cartilage Fixation), extremely good results can be achieved in some patients with a very small intervention made only on the cartilages in 20 - 25 minutes under local anesthesia.

NO EXTERNAL INCISIONS

In the method that eliminates the frequently encountered nose drop problem and puts an end to the appearance called 'pig nose', the cartilages forming the tip of the nose are connected to the septum cartilage, which can be defined as the carrier column of the nose, with stitches.

In the past, it was necessary to cut the tip of the nose from the outside to do this, but with the Traceless Cartilage Fixation method, the desired angle and height are given to the tip of the nose with stitches placed completely inside the nose without making an external incision. In this method, natural-looking noses that do not appear to have undergone surgery are obtained, and it is ensured that the result achieved is permanent and does not deteriorate for a lifetime.

LITTLE INTERVENTION TO BONE TISSUE WITH THE METHOD

The late results of the method, which has been applied to hundreds of patients for about 15 years, are extremely satisfactory. The nasal bones are not carved to ensure the balance between the back and tip of the nose.

The method has 4 important concrete benefits:

* We interfere less with bone tissue.

* We get a more natural appearance.

* We prevent the nose from falling.

* The healing time is significantly shortened.

With Scarless Cartilage Fixation, there is no need to break the nasal bone in many patients. In suitable patients, the ideal appearance can be achieved even by intervening only at the tip of the nose.

FUNCTION IS IMPORTANT

Success in nose surgeries cannot be separated from breathing, which is the most important function of the nose. Scarless Cartilage Fixation method also brings solutions to "breathing" problems: The cartilages forming the wings of the nose are fixed in the appropriate position and the angles that allow breathing are preserved.

"Patients who will undergo surgery for the first time or who have undergone surgery one or more times before can achieve the final image they want with this method and breathe comfortably, it can even be good for snoring."

DISCOVERY OF NATURAL APPEARANCE IN NOSE AESTHETICS: ANGLE NOSE

There are a few important details for a natural result. One of these is the appearance of the area between the two eyebrows, known as the root of the nose. The depth and angle of this area where the nose and forehead meet is extremely important in capturing the natural appearance. It is understood by almost everyone that the nose that seems to merge with the forehead and continues at the same angle with the forehead is operated, and it also causes a long appearance that does not fit the facial proportions. Even if the other parts are perfectly made, just because of this small area, the nose gives itself away as aesthetic; this situation is especially evident in photographs. The instruments used in the past were insufficient to give a sharp angle, too hollow or too full and angular descending noses such as ram's nose could occur.

Prof. Dr. Erdem Tezel developed a rasp that will provide the ideal forehead-nose angle. The Angled Rasp and Its Use was published and accepted in the Journal of Plastic & Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery, one of the most prestigious medical journals in the world. Designed by Dr. Tezel and manufactured in Turkey, this tool makes it much easier to achieve the ideal forehead-nose angle. A distinct angled transition between the forehead and nose is a very important detail in achieving a natural appearance; it is these details that create naturalness and beauty.
